What You’ll Do
Carpenters and Trim Specialists

– Fabricate and install custom millwork, casing, base, crown, and wainscoting to 1/32″ tolerances.
– Scribe to stone, plaster, and uneven surfaces; cope and miter complex profiles and curved work.
– Build and install high-end cabinetry, panels, and built-ins; set premium doors and hardware.
– Execute precise layouts, blocking, and substrates that support flawless finishes.
– Read plans, elevations, and shop drawings; coordinate with designers and subs.

Artisan and Decorative Painters

– Deliver hand-painted finishes with consistent sheen and texture; brush mastery and fine cut lines are a must.
– Create and install gold leaf and inlay details (water/oil gilding, bole prep, burnishing, sealing).
– Perform color matching, glazing, strié, Venetian plaster/limewash, and level 5 wall prep.
– Produce sample boards for client approval; document systems and finish schedules.
– Protect adjacent surfaces, manage dust and ventilation, and maintain a spotless jobsite.

What You Bring

– 5+ years of verifiable high-end residential experience (luxury remodels, estates, premium condos/townhomes). Master-level roles may require 10+.
– Portfolio showing intricate work: complex moldings, custom built-ins, curved elements, specialty finishes, and hand-painted or gilded details.
– Mastery of tools and methods: coping, scribing, jigs/fixtures, HVLP and fine-brush techniques, high-build primers, catalyzed finishes.
– Ability to plan sequences that protect finishes and minimize rework; strong punch-list discipline.
– Reliability, clear communication, and a commitment to deadlines and safety.

Nice-to-Haves

– Experience in occupied luxury residences; white-glove protection and daily cleanup routines.
– Familiarity with premium materials and systems (hardwoods, plaster, lacquers, European hardware).
– OSHA-10/30, lead-safe practices, and surface protection best practices.
– For gilders: experience with genuine gold leaf, composition leaf, patination, verre églomisé.
